THIS Dreaming is of a journey undertaken by selected women from Mina Mina, a sacred site in the Tanami Desert, north-west of Alice Springs.
These women are all of the Napangardi and Napanangka skin groups. To start they collect digging sticks that emerge from the salt pans where the desert oak trees grow and proceed east.
As they travel they gather bush food, and collect Ngalyipi, the green creeper that crawls over trees and shrubs. They perform rituals of song and dance, all the way to the place known as Jankinyi.
A truly striking piece of work by Justinna and would be a wonderful addition to any home or office.
