My Country

STEPHEN is an unassuming character with a style that is constantly evolving.

With his mother Glory Ngale a contemporary artist, Stephen is also the nephew of Emily Kame Kngwarreye and Kudditji Kngwarreye, two artists whose work has achieved international renown.

His work includes motifs that he has made his own, none more so than his iconic Spirit Man. He lives in Adelaide with his partner, artist Bernadine Kemarre Johnson, whose work also features here, and continues to develop his signature style for his country.
