Witchetty Grub Dreaming

THIS dreaming is primarily about a community feast as Larissa celebrates with amazing style the work women do on Country in gathering food.

They come together to harvest Witchetty Grubs. The paths on each side bear the marks of women with travelling camp sites. This tells us they have travelled for a number of days.

The Witchetty Grubs, which taste like chicken, are celebrated in the middle with four camp sites where they will be enjoyed. The colours in the background show us that this is after rain and the bush is flourishing and alive.
