Rain In The Desert

LIKE a flood the red flows either side of the waterhole, with Makisha putting her water dreaming to work again.

The red we can only surmise is Sturt's Desert Pea, the desert warrior that blooms for a short time after rain.

And here the Pea is opposed by the march of the Paper Daisies across the land, carpetting it in a web of leaves and flower, to touch the waterhole too, the centre of the water dreaming world.
