Yorta Yorta

A LANDMARK work even for an artist as gifted as Coral, Yorta Yorta is a tribute to the dreamings and totems of her mother and her 11 children of the Yorta Yorta people of Moonroopna, Victoria.

'We represent the Long Neck River Turtle which is our dreaming and totem. Our belief when we leave this earth is we will return as our Spiritual Totem.'

Coral wanted to paint a unique piece to honour her mother so she painted her with her family, all together in the dreaming, swimming happily together again.
